Degree Arts (three year) : Total No. of Seats 150
Admission to TDC (Arts) Semester Course will be held in any one of the following two options.
Option A: Regular Teaching Mode : This requires at least 75% attendance in classes and one or two mandatory sessional examinations of 20/15/10 marks per subject/paper or its multiple.
Option B: Distance Learning Mode (without major) under IDOL, G.U. : There is no mandatory requirement for attending classes in this form of educational structure and it shall comprise of one or two home assignments instead of sessional examinations of 20/15/10 marks per subject/paper or its multiple. Subjects offered are ENG,MIL(As), PSc/Edn and Phil/El.As.
Students will be provided study materials (books) and they are to sit for the final (end semester) examination (by studying at home) along with the students of Regular Teaching Mode (Option A). There is also provision for counseling on subjects at the Bajali College premises every Sunday, if and when, more than 20 (twenty) students place a formal request. Prospectus and Admission Form will be supplied by IDOL, G.U. to the college during the admission schedule. Admission fee per semester will be Rs.2000.00 (Rupees two thousand) only. For 1st Semester, Registration Fee of Rs.350/-(Rupees three hundred fifty) only will be charged extra. For regular teaching mode: English and MIL or Alt. English are compulsory for all. The college offers facility for Assamese MIL only.
A student can offer two subjects, selecting not more than one from any of the following groups
- Economics/Sanskrit/English (Major)/Elective English Political
- Science/Statistics/Education/TTM
- Philosophy/Elective Assamese/Geography/Assamese (Major)
- History/Mathematics
One of these two subjects may be read as a major subject. The students will have to indicate, in order of preference, two major subjects of his/her interest from the above list out of which major in one will be allowed as per merit and the decision of the concerned department. A student offering English major will have to offer only one elective (general) subject.
